What is the Domestic Arctic Mobility Enhancement project?

DAME is a Canadian defence project focused on renewed over-snow and amphibious mobility for operations in northern Canada and other Arctic and complex-terrain environments. The project reflects the operational reality that Canada’s Arctic mobility fleet — anchored for decades by the Hägglunds BV206 — requires renewal.

Modern Arctic mobility must combine over-snow flotation, amphibious transition, extreme-cold reliability, personnel and cargo capacity, mission modularity and sovereign lifecycle support. The Voyager D12 was developed with this operational profile in mind.
