UTV International provided the first public preview of its next-generation Voyager D12 at CANSEC 2026 in Ottawa.
Presented at Rheinmetall Canada's outdoor exhibit, the display offered defence and government visitors an early look at the fourth generation of the Canadian-designed articulated tracked carrier.
The new Voyager is being developed as a personnel and logistics platform for operations across snow, muskeg, wetlands, rivers and other terrain that limits conventional wheeled vehicles. It retains the Voyager's articulated and amphibious architecture while introducing changes intended to reduce weight, improve serviceability and support a wider range of rear mission configurations.
The platform is being developed for Canada's Arctic mobility requirements, including the type of missions identified under the Domestic Arctic Mobility Enhancement project. Potential configurations include personnel transport, logistics, command and communications, casualty evacuation, search and rescue and specialized mission support.
Voyager can transport up to 12 occupants and is designed to operate across difficult terrain and water obstacles encountered during northern and Arctic operations.
The CANSEC preview marked the next stage of UTV International's ongoing development program. The complete fourth-generation platform and expanded technical information are scheduled to be introduced later in 2026.
Voyager is designed and manufactured in Québec by UTV International, a Canadian-owned tracked-vehicle manufacturer founded in 1995.
